2015年国家卫生局市公安局江南分局在婺城区苏孟乡查获了一起非法处置废旧铅酸蓄电池案。安徽人黄某在苏孟乡租了一家小厂房，专门回收各种汽车、电动车的废旧电瓶，用电钻将废旧电瓶打开，倒出里面的酸液，收集铅和塑料外壳出售。

废旧蓄电池案。安徽人黄某在苏孟乡租了一家小厂房，专门回收各种汽车、电动车的废旧电瓶，用电钻将废旧电瓶打开，倒出里面的酸液，收集铅和塑料外壳出售。那些没有利用价值的酸液，就被随意倾倒进苏孟乡公路旁。处置后的废旧铅酸蓄电池被黄某卖到铅冶炼企业。而铅冶炼企业在明知回收经营者非法处置的情况下，为降低风险及成本，抛弃自身应承担处置危险废物的义务，委托或变相委托回收经营者非法处置废旧铅酸蓄电池。
随着对黄某一案深入调查，江南分局顺藤摸瓜，查出了金华市区、东阳4家同样从事非法废旧铅酸蓄电池处置的收购点。
    这些收购点经营者在不具备相关设备及未获得环保部门许可的情况下，擅自处置废旧铅酸蓄电池，随意倾倒蓄电池内酸液，造成严重环境污染。
    市公安局江南分局共查处涉嫌污染环境罪的废旧蓄电池回收经营者、铅冶炼企业的直接责任人等犯罪嫌疑人30多人。安徽人黄某以污染环境罪被判有期徒刑10个月，并处罚金。其余犯罪嫌疑人也陆续被婺城区人民法院以污染环境罪依法判处不同的刑罚。
